CHALLENGE
Team up with other classrooms to have
a stacking competition between your classrooms.
Directions
1. Visit the challenge document with other interested classrooms and connect with 1, 2 or more!
2. Make arrangements on HOW you will connect (via skype, google hangout, etc), WHEN you will connect (remember time zones), and WORK out the particulars (who will start the call, in what order you will stack, etc)
3. Follow your school guidelines for participating in an online event and let your student parent's know.
4. Invite your principal or admin to the event.
5. Choose who will be stacking to represent your class -- Please choose either 1 or 2 students.
Plus, assign other jobs (such as tally count, photographer, host, etc)
6. On the day of the event, be sure to take LOTS of pictures! Have some sort of map so that you can SHOW where each classroom is located.
7. Once you are ready to stack -- the rules for O.R.E.O. stacking remain the same. One cookie at a time, straight up in a single column, once the stack tumbles, record the score. Each stacker gets 2 opportunities to stack and average their stack counts. When all stacking is complete, AVERAGE all the participating classrooms averages.
8. After the event is over, share about it via a blog post, pictures shared to the google slideshow, etc.
